MUSLIMS: Help make sure every school can hear from a Muslim speaker
Teachers across the UK are asking for help to cover Islam in their RE classes and how to answer questions children have. Young people are bombarded with a stream of negative rhetoric on mainstream and social media and might go through school without ever meeting a practising Muslim they can ask honest questions to.
- This project helps link up Muslim speakers with schools who request a visit
We also link up speakers with donors who want to help facilitate more visits
- School visits need to be in normal working hours
- Most speakers would do more visits if they had funding
- Donations will help cover time and travel to make visiting sustainable for speakers
