Why your donation matters

Across the UK there are around 29,000 schools. In many of them, pupils will go all the way through their education without ever having a thoughtful, practising Muslim visitor in the classroom.

British children's picture of Islam is often shaped by headlines and social media propaganda. This project is trying to change that, one ordinary classroom at a time.

Schools are desperate to find Muslim speakers to visit. Your donations would make it practical for speakers to say “yes” when a school gets in touch – helping with travel costs and time off work so that money is never the reason a good speaker has to decline a visit.

Your donation helps build a network of local Muslim speakers who can visit nearby schools, answer honest questions and help pupils see Muslims as real neighbours, not just stories on the news.
