Osman Zafar

I have spent several years volunteering my time for school visits and mosque tours. For the first time I am now having to ask schools for payment to be able to continue what is a very rare offering (although it should not be at all).

Educating young minds is deeply beloved to me. Not long ago, I was able to say that I never turned down a school request. More recently an increase in requests and a lack of funding has unfortunately prevented me from fulfilling all requests from schools. Any donation I receive here will enable me to provide more visits to schools.

Visits & training sessions fully funded: 0 of 2 logged events

Total still needed from online donors for logged events: £36.03

Speaker hourly rate requested: £30/hour
How donations work
  • The speaker sets an hourly rate which they hope, if attained, would make offering visits more sustainable.
  • Visits are sporadic, compared to the steady income of a regular job, it is still financially very challenging but they work mainly
    فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّٰهِ.
  • Travel fuel and time is included as it is especially important that speakers can support rural schools.
  • Donations go directly to the speaker's PayPal account, no money is handled by this project and no share taken.
  • This project is automatically notified of how much is donated to the speaker and that is then deducted from the amount still requested by that speaker, preventing accidental double funding.
  • If you give more than the amount needed for already logged visits, the full amount goes directly to the speaker and the extra is set against funding of further visits they register with this project.
  • The project has no way to make sure additional funding is spent on more visits but the speaker will only be able to apply for more funding here once existing overpayment has been used for new logged visits.

An Extra Inquistive Year 6 – Alderton Junior School
2025-12-05
Speaker's report: "This class had visited before as year 3. All grown up and with glowing faces, they now returned as year 6. They came with pre-planned questions, which meant that there was a lot more dialogue than my usual activities. After going through their planned questions, they had so many more things to ask than time allowed!"
School feedback: "Thank you so much for this - it is much appreciated! Thank you so much. I have also attached a photo of an excellent piece of work one of our children did when we returned to school - we all learned a lot - so thank you! We look forward to visiting again next year." — Alderton Junior School
